Evaluation of a New Antiemetic Agent

Diphenidol (Vontrol)

Abstract

Diphenidol is a new antiemetic agent that also is useful in the treatment of vertigo of vestibular origin. Its use is limited to patients under close and continuous professional supervision, since auditory and visual hallucinations, disorientation, and confusion have been reported. Other untoward effects reported from its use have been infrequent and minor in nature.
