Hepatic Infarction Discovered With Photoscan

James B. Gillick, MD; Frederic W. Smith, MD

JAMA. 1968;204(5):397-399.

Abstract

Probable hepatic infarction occurred secondary to an embolus. After an abdominal exploration with normal findings, abnormal results were obtained from liver function tests. This caused the clinician to order a hepatic photoscan, which revealed the unsuspected lesion.
