Chronic Discoid Lupus Erythematosus in Children

R. K. Winkelmann, MD

JAMA. 1968;205(10):675-678.

Abstract

In five cases of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus which began in childhood and lasted into adulthood no systemic disease was present, and long follow-up confirmed the cutaneous localization of the disease. This syndrome in children is comparable to the continuing, recurrent nature of chronic discoid lupus erythematosus in adults.
