Herpesvirus hominis Infection at a Smallpox Vaccination Site

Abstract

A 15-year-old Negro boy suffered a recurrent Herpesvirus hominis infection at the site of a former smallpox vaccination. The virus was isolated from the vesicle bases during the third crop of vesicles to appear in three years.
