Nephrolithiasis Connected With Hydronephrosis of a Crossed Renal Ectopia

Max Eichwald, MD; Lynn E. Wolfe, MD

JAMA. 1970;211(1):117-118.

Abstract

A case of nephrolithiasis occurred together with marked hydronephrosis of a crossed renal ectopia. The bizarre and confusing appearance of the scout film was the most interesting feature of this case. Very surprising is the fact that this patient lived to middle age with scarcely any subjective symptoms despite the proved and extensive damage to the urinary tract.
