Actinomycosis Treated With Lincomycin

John A. Mohr, MD; Everett R. Rhoades, MD; Harold G. Muchmore, MD

JAMA. 1970;212(13):2260-2262.

Abstract

Actinomycosis in four patients allergic to penicillin has been treated successfully with lincomycin hydrochloride monohydrate. The rapid good response suggests that lincomycin offers a satisfactory substitute for penicillin in allergic individuals.
