Pediatrics: Cardiology

George Benzing III, MD; Gilbert B. Forbes, MD

JAMA. 1979;241(13):1371-1373.

Abstract

Because pediatrics is such a broad and rapidly advancing primary care specialty, editorial board member, Gilbert B. Forbes, MD, chief editor, American Journal of Diseases of Children, and Department of Pediatrics, University of Rochester (NY) School of Medicine, has chosen to confine this year's contribution to a single phase of the specialty, pediatric cardiology—itself already a large enough field. For this he has chosen Dr Benzing of Children's Hospital, Cincinnati, who has kindly offered his expertise in discussing three of the major advances in pediatric cardiology.—ED.
