Posttransfusion hepatitis in acute myelogenous leukemia. Effect on survival

We evaluated retrospectively the clinical outcome of 47 patients with acute
myelogenous leukemia who entered an intensive chemoimmunotherapy treatment
protocol between January 1975 and July 1978. Remission duration and
survival were substantially longer in patients in whom hepatitis developed.
