Abstract
Mortality rates of testis cancer among US whites declined 34% between 1973 and 1978. The change is attributable to improved therapy for patients with disseminated testis cancer other than seminoma. Thirty-month survival rates among these patients increased from 22% in 1973 to 1976 to 56% in 1977 to 1979 in nine geographic areas monitored by the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program of the National Cancer Institute.
