1998 FDA Science Forum on Biotechnology: The FDA, Sigma Xi, and American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) are cosponsoring a conference entitled "1998 FDA Science Forum on Biotechnology: Advances, Applications and Regulatory Challenges" on December 8-9, 1998, at the Washington, DC, Convention Center. The preliminary agenda includes sessions on "biofarming/biopharming"; microbial pathogens; antibiotics and resistance; therapeutic and preventive agents; diagnostics and detection methods; and new models/methods for safety assessment.
