Leadership Opportunities for Residents and Fellows

The American Medical Association-Resident Physicians Section (AMA-RPS) Governing Council is recruiting resident and fellow physicians to fill several leadership positions on AMA councils and other committees. The resident representatives report back to the AMA-RPS Governing Council on items of interest to resident physicians and fellows. The following is a summary of the councils and committees with upcoming vacancies for residents.
The AMA Council on Medical Education addresses all facets of education, from medical school and residency training to continuing education and allied health education. Its primary responsibility is to study and evaluate medical education in order to provide an adequate supply of well-qualified physicians to meet the medical needs of the public. The Council also serves as the parent council for committees dealing with more specific stages of medical education. This Council meets 4 times each year and at AMA Annual and Interim Meetings.
