- Samuel Epstein, MD, professor of occupational and environmental medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago's School of Public Health, has received the award known as the "alternative Nobel" from the Right Livelihood Award Foundation. The award was presented at the Swedish parliament in Stockholm.
