  • Sadja Greenwood, MD, MPH, University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, is one of the physicians who recently received awards from the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Others include Willie D. Zoma, MD, University of Cincinnati; Penny Wise Budoff, MD, who is in private practice in New York; and Marilyn H. Gaston, MD, assistant surgeon general, US Public Health Service. Wulf H. Utian, MD, PhD, NAMS executive director and honorary founding president, received the society's Lifetime Achievement Award.
  • Nancy C. Andreasen, MD, PhD, chair of psychiatry at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City, and editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Psychiatry, has received the Rhoda and Bernard Sarnat International Prize in Mental Health.
