• Thom R. Loree, MD, has been appointed chief of the Division of Head and Neck Surgical Oncology/Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY. Wesley L. Hicks, Jr, DDS, MD, has been appointed director of the Fellowship Program in the division and will continue as associate professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
  
• Robert Claypool, MD, who is retiring as a major general in the US Army, will become director of the new Military and Veterans Health Coordinating Board, where he will also oversee the Persian Gulf Veterans Coordinating Board.
