Medicare & You 2001

Medicare and physicians are trusted sources for seniors and disabled Americans as they make health care decisions.

Information from Medicare will begin filling mailboxes this week, as the new Medicare & You 2001 starts to arrive at the homes of Medicare beneficiaries.

Last year, physicians told us they wanted their own copies of this handbook and other beneficiary-centered Medicare educational materials. We listened and responded.

This month we completed an advance mailing of Medicare & You 2001 to more than 368,000 individual physicians and physician groups. In addition, we worked with the Interamerican College of Physicians and Surgeons to coordinate an additional mailing of Spanish versions of this handbook to more than 49,000 physicians.

Medicare & You 2001 contains an abundance of valuable beneficiary information that physicians and their office staffs will find useful, including:
