Nominations for Advisory Panels

The FDA is requesting nominations for health care professionals as voting members on two advisory committees in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. The nominations are sought for 11 immediate and 33 scheduled vacancies on 15 panels of the Medical Device Advisory Committee, and for one immediate and four scheduled vacancies on the National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee.
The Medical Device Advisory Committee reviews and evaluates data on safety and effectiveness of marketed and investigational devices and makes recommendations for their regulation. The National Mammography Quality Assurance Advisory Committee advises the FDA on several subjects, including development of appropriate quality standards and regulations for mammography facilities and for bodies that accredit such facilities under the FDA program.
