New Cardiology Guidelines

With significant changes in interventional cardiology having occurred during the past decade, new guidelines are being published by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA).
The American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Guidelines for Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and the ACC/Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions [SCA&I] Clinical Expert Consensus Document on Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Standards were published April 27 on the Web sites of the ACC (http://www.acc.org) and the AHA (http://www.americanheart.org). The documents will also be published in the June 15 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the June 19 issue of Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association. The SCA&I also published the consensus document April 27 on its Web site (http://www.scai.org), and it will appear in the July issue of Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions.
