Niederhuber, MD, director of the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center and assistant dean for oncology at the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison, has been elected president of the Society of Surgical Oncology. John M. Daly, MD, the Lewis Atterbury Stimson Professor, chair of the Department of Surgery, and surgeon-in-chief of New York Presbyterian Hospital–Cornell Campus, New York City, is president-elect.
