  • David C. Hess, MD, professor of neurology at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and executive for the Neurosciences Service Line at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Augusta, has been named chair of the MCG Department of Neurology.
  • Marc R. Blackman, MD, has been appointed the first clinical director of the new Division of Intramural Research of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Md. Blackman, who is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, and metabolism, is professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he is also program director of the NIH-funded General Clinical Research Center.
