  • Allan T. Bombard, MD, has been named senior vice president and chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He was medical director for Aetna Women's Health/Western US, in San Ramon, Calif.
  • Jeffrey P. Koplan, MD, MPH, is the new vice president for Academic Health Affairs at Woodruff Health Sciences Center of Emory University, Atlanta, Ga. He was previously director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • Hal Barron, MD, has been promoted to vice president, Medical Affairs, at Genentech, Inc, San Francisco, Calif. At the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, Barron is assistant adjunct professor of epidemiology and biostatistics and assistant clinical professor of medicine/cardiology.
