To the Editor: Dr Baker and colleagues1 did not assess whether adults seek health information on the Internet to learn more about their children's health. Had this been asked, the percentages may have been higher and perhaps more consistent with prior reports of Internet use for health information. Previous estimates in the literature may have been higher because of the specific question posed as well as how it is asked. For instance, the question "In the past year, about how often did you look on the Internet for information or advice about health or health care?" could be interpreted to refer only to one's own health or to the health of one's children.
