To the Editor: In considering the results of the study by Dr Esposito and colleagues¹ on the effect of weight reduction on erectile dysfunction in obese men, it is interesting to look at some of the older literature that addressed thiazide-induced erectile dysfunction and found improvement with weight loss among individuals who were obese.^2-3 That finding becomes better explained given the improvement in endothelial function with weight loss found in the present study.
