To the Editor: The results of the study by Dr D’Amico and colleagues¹ regarding the survival benefit of combining androgen suppression therapy and radiation therapy for treatment of localized prostate cancer seem to include a discrepancy. The text notes 6 deaths due to prostate cancer in the 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy group; however, the graph and related data in Figure 3 appear to indicate only 4 prostate cancer deaths.
