To the Editor: When I was told that something I wrote¹ was cited in the Clinical Review of chest pain history in patients with suspected acute coronary syndromes by Drs Swap and Nagurney,² I read the article eagerly. It's always flattering to have someone reference your work. I was basking in a glow of anticipation as I read the section on the "GI cocktail" when I was suddenly blindsided by the realization that in the cited article, I didn't write what was attributed to me. At that point I needed a GI cocktail . . . or maybe a real cocktail. It would seem that my work was from the 1970s, a time when I was still mostly in college.
