The editors of Bipolar Disorder in Later Life have created a comprehensive and useful text on the various aspects of bipolar disorders in older patients. The editors have brought together a variety of experts on the essential topics and have presented the information in an organized and readable format.
The 13 chapters are divided into 4 parts, each with an overarching theme. The text covers the generally expected areas of this topic in a comprehensive and detailed manner. As is the case with many review books on behavioral health issues, there are few moments when the reader familiar with these topics is likely to feel surprisingly enlightened.
The preface introduces the topics, structure, and chapters, reading much like a book review absent any particular ranting or raving.
