The use of robotics in urologic surgery is an emerging and constantly evolving area of study. With each new year, novel implementations of robotic surgery are being presented, with wider and more innovative applications, ranging from oncology to pediatric surgery. Procedures that were once solely performed by surgeons at tertiary academic institutions are now being performed with increasing frequency by general urologists, as access to and familiarity with the robotic systems has increased.
