The updated edition of Grabb and Smith's Plastic Surgery seeks to condense the diverse field of plastic surgery into a single-volume comprehensive text that is accessible to medical professionals and trainees at all levels. This edition uses a smaller font size and tighter line spacing and is 250 pages shorter than the previous edition. Some users have found this format difficult to read. However, this change allows the book to deliver more information without becoming too large to carry. The book features 1900 black-and-white photographs and multiple tables. Included with the book is a searchable DVD-ROM that contains the entire book in PDF format as well as access to all of the figures. This increases the portability of the book by allowing the reader to save chapters on a hard drive, and the figures can be copied and inserted into electronic documents or presentations.
