Head and Neck Manifestations in Systemic Disease is thoughtfully divided into 2 sections. The editors come from the fields of otolaryngology and rheumatology and fulfill the intent of the book to educate otolaryngologists and rheumatologists through joint authorship and by reporting special clinical manifestations from these fields. The preface, the table of contents, and the body of work fulfill this intended design. The first section (24 chapters) describes head and neck manifestations found in many systemic diseases. It is followed by a 13-chapter second section that offers a differential diagnosis by chief complaint of signs and symptoms common to otolaryngology, from otorrhea to epistaxis to dysphagia. The individual chapters present a well-organized differential and a recommended treatment protocol that is familiar to otolaryngologists but often less familiar to practitioners from other medical specialties.
