Prasad P. Godbole's new text, Pediatric Endourology Techniques, aims to be a handbook that enables "surgeons to carry out commonly performed minimally invasive pediatric urological procedures" and to "provide a quick reference to each topic of interest." Incorporating contributions from many experts in the field of pediatric and minimally invasive urology, this book provides concise, multimedia descriptions of modern techniques used for endoscopic and laparoscopic urologic surgery in the pediatric population. The book covers a wide range of procedures, including pyeloplasty, ureteral reimplantation, nephrectomy and heminephrectomy, cystoscopy, varicocelectomy, laparoscopic management of undescended testes, and endoscopic management of stone disease.
Pediatric Endourology Techniques is organized into 3 principal sections: "Laparoscopy," "Endoscopy," and "Miscellaneous" (covering robotics and the laparoscopic antegrade continence enema procedure). The sections are subdivided based on organ or a specific region of the urinary tract, and the chapters within each cover a specific laparosopic or endoscopic procedure.
