Wound Care Practice is a 1312-page, 2-volume text that combines the efforts of 65 authors who are experts in their respective fields. The combined 47 chapters are divided into 6 sections. They stand alone, so some repetition is noted and indeed expected. The editors, respected both as researchers and as clinicians, do a great job of keeping conflicting topics and themes to a minimum. The volumes are blessedly light and convenient to hold, read, and carry. The publisher is to be commended for not producing a single, burdensome, heavy volume.
Most chapters are peppered with full-color photographs, tables, and figures. The volumes are designed for reading, with an adequate font for the text, including the index font, which in some books is often too small and difficult to adequately decipher.
