A significant proportion of vascular surgical practice requires the management of vascular emergencies. The ability to diagnose these problems efficiently and accurately is paramount to patient survival. Outcomes are often predicated on rapid diagnosis of vascular emergencies, and this text serves as an excellent overview of common emergencies that may be encountered in any vascular practice, emergency department, or trauma bay.
