Over the last generation, the primary care of women has extensively expanded to include a wide array of gynecological evaluations and services directed at outpatient assessment, prevention, and treatment, with increased medical and surgical options. This, in turn, has led to an increased demand on the skills and knowledge of primary clinicians.
