JAMA. 2003;289:703.

Various Errors. In the Original Contribution entitled "Effects of Decision Aids for Menorrhagia on Treatment Choices, Health Outcomes, and Costs: A Randomized Controlled Trial" published in the December 4, 2002, issue of THE JOURNAL (2002;288:2701-2708), there were various errors. On page 2702, in Table 1, the second line under "Type of treatment preferences" should be "Positive preference for hysterectomy." On page 2703, the sentence that begins on the last line of column 2 should be "To allow for potential clustering, both consultant and (when methods were available) the consultant-intervention interaction were modeled as random effects." On page 2704, the second sentence in the legend of Figure 2 should be "The first 8 measures are dimensions of the SF-36; menorrhagia severity was assessed using a menorrhagia outcome scale." On page 2706, in the second to last line of text in column 1, the sentence should be "The interview group also showed a saving in comparison with the information group." Also on page 2706, in Table 3 , a number sign symbol should be added behind "NA" in column 5 for "Hormonal drug||" and "Nonhormonal drug||" under "Treatment." The text for the number (#) sign footnote should be "NA indicates no cost indicated because unit costs were obtained on a case-by-case basis." On page 2707, in Table 4, column 1, the second line under "Menorrhagia-related" should be "Family physician visit." Also in Table 4 , in column 1, the first line under "Exclusions" should be "Unrelated inpatient, outpatient and family physician visit(s)." On the same line, column 6 should be "-687 (-1190 to -289)" and column 7 should be "-134 (-296 to 33)." The second line in column 1 under "Exclusions" should be "All inpatient and unrelated outpatient and family physician visit(s){dagger}." The asterisk (*) footnote should be "Bootstrapped bias corrected and accelerated 95% confidence intervals." On page 2708, the page numbers for reference 9 should be "3-11." Also on page 2708, the page numbers for reference 40 should be "5-14."
