Incorrect Data

JAMA. 1998;279:1350.

In the Original Contribution entitled "Occupational Injuries Among Workers With Disabilities: The National Health Interview Survey, 1985-1994," published in the December 24/31, 1997, issue of THE JOURNAL (1997;278:2163-2166), incorrect numbers had been transcribed from the analysis to the text and Table 1. On page 2165, third column, first paragraph, the second and third sentences should have read as follows: "We found that adjusting for occupation, self-employment, and age reduced the risk associated with male sex from an OR of 1.78 (95% CI, 1.67-1.89) [not 1.79 (95% CI, 1.68-1.90)] in the univariate analysis to an OR of 1.34 (95% CI, 1.25-1.43). The same adjustments reduced the risk associated with Hispanic ethnicity from an OR of 1.33 (95% CI, 1.22-1.46) [not 1.34 (95% CI, 1.22-1.47)] in the univariate analysis to an OR of 1.19 (95% CI, 1.08-1.30)." The corrected Table 1 appears here (corrected numbers are shown in boldface type). The study's main results and conclusions were not affected by these corrections.
