Incorrect Wording
JAMA. 1998;280:1664.
In the Original Contribution entitled "Effect of an Intensive Educational Program for Minority College Students and Recent Graduates on the Probability of Acceptance to Medical School," in the September 2, 1998, issue of THE JOURNAL (1998;280:772-776), a sentence was incorrectly worded. On page 775, in the first full paragraph, the sentence that reads, "The medical school acceptance rate for 1406 (49.3%) of the MMEP participants was higher than for 223 (41.6%) of the nonparticipants in 1997 (P=.002)" should have read, "The medical school acceptance rate among 452 MMEP participants (49.3%) was higher than among 3378 minority nonparticipants (41.6%) in 1997 (P=.002)."
