Incorrect Financial Disclosure

JAMA. 1999;281:1086.

In the Special Communication entitled "Recent Advances in the Pharmacotherapy of Smoking," published in the January 6, 1999, issue of THE JOURNAL (1999;281:72-76), an author was omitted from the financial disclosure statement on page 72. The statement should have read, "Drs Hughes, Goldstein, Hurt, and Shiffman have consulted for and received research grants or honoraria from many of the corporate entities involved in the manufacture of the smoking cessation products discussed in this article."
