In the Review entitled "Influence of Airway Management on Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia: Evidence From Randomized Trials" published in the March 11, 1998, issue of THE JOURNAL (1998;279:781-787), incorrect wording appeared in the introduction. In the third paragraph, the fifth sentence should have read as follows: "The relationship between body position and tracheobronchial aspiration has been highlighted by 3 randomized trials showing that scintigraphic evidence of aspiration occurs less [not more] often in patients placed in the semirecumbent position than in the supine position.^6-8"
