In the Original Contribution entitled "Managed Care and Physicians' Provision of Charity Care" published in the March 24/31, 1999, issue of THE JOURNAL (1999;281:1087-1092), an error occurred in the abstract on page 1087. The first sentence of the Results section should have read, "Overall, 77.3% of respondents provided an average of 10.3 hours of charity care per month."
