Impact of Folic Acid Fortification of the US Food Supply on the Occurrence of Neural Tube Defects—Correction

JAMA. 2001;286:2236.

Incorrect Data in Table. In the Original Contribution titled "Impact of Folic Acid Fortification of the US Food Supply on the Occurrence of Neural Tube Defects" published in the June 20, 2001, issue of THE JOURNAL (2001;285:2981-2986), incorrect data appeared in Table 1 on page 2983. The column labeled "Prevalence" should have read as follows: 1036, 963, 954, 947, 974, 982, 969, 966, 985, 980. The corrected data still indicate that birth certificate reporting of congenital anomalies other than neural tube defects has been stable from 1991 through 1999, as was stated in the article.
