Use of Statins and Risk of Fractures—Correction

JAMA. 2001;286:674.

Incorrect Wording. In the Original Contribution entitled "Use of Statins and Risk of Fractures" published in the April 11, 2001, issue of THE JOURNAL (2001;285:1850-1855), there was incorrect wording in the Results section. On page 1852, in the third column, the sentence that read "Eighty-five percent and 57.2% of statin users and nonusers, respectively, used hormone replacement therapy, and 58.3% and 58.3% used systemic corticosteroid therapy" should have read "Information on BMI was available for 85.0% and 57.2% of users and nonusers of hormone replacement therapy, respectively, and 58.3% and 58.3% of users and nonusers of systemic corticosteroid therapy."
