Current Status of Pain Management in Children—Correction

JAMA. 2004;291:695.

Incorrect Insertion: In the Special Communication entitled "Current Status of Pain Management in Children" published in the November 12, 2003, issue of THE JOURNAL (2003;290:2464-2469), incorrect wording was inserted during the editing stage. On page 2466 in the second paragraph under "Prolonged Effects of Early Pain Experience," the third sentence should not begin with the words "In humans" because the paragraph is discussing laboratory studies in animal models.
