* A confirmed case was laboratory confirmed or met the clinical case definition and was epidemiologically linked to a confirmed or probable case. A clinical case was defined as an illness characterized by a generalized rash lasting 3 days; a temperature 101 F ( 38.3 C); and cough, coryza, or conjunctivitis.
