By this time, there is no news in the facts that manufacturers of the Pill have been required by the Food and Drug Administration to provide an insert in each package patients will receive on prescription and that the AMA has sent to all physicians copies of a brochure that discusses the value and possible adverse effects of oral contraceptives. The wording of the brochure was produced jointly by representatives of AMA, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the FDA and was published in the Aug 10 issue of the American Medical News and in the MEDICAL NEWS section of THE JOURNAL on Aug 24.
