This annual report deals with certain features and activities of the schools of public health of the United States and Canada, and attempts to discern trends. The tables in the main body of the report consist of figures which show changes from year to year. Detailed data referable to the academic year 1969-1970 will [ill] presented in Appendix III, to be bound with the reprints of the two-part EDUCATION NUMBER.

This report is made possible only through the cooperation of the schools of public health and of the Association of Schools of Public Health. Each school has filled out a questionnaire at the end of the academic year, in addition to supplying data on faculty members and students.

This year data are presented on 18 accredited institutions.
