It was an exciting meeting. The scientific sessions were overshadowed by all the politicking, but the 28 courses were well attended and enthusiastically endorsed by participants. I wandered from course to course and caught bits and pieces of the lectures, dialogues, live presentations, and spirited audience participation. Topics ranged widely; the educational bill of fare was sufficient to satisfy every medical palate.

As with all multidiscipline, simultaneous sessions, one could become a trifle schizophrenic trying to select from all the clinical goodies, but once committed to a specific course or courses, it was pleasant to settle back and let the new information (or reinforcement of old information) flow over you. With a little endurance one could attend three courses a day (7:30 to 9 AM, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and 2 to 5 PM for three days)—a program guaranteed to satiate even the most parched thirst.
