This long-awaited second volume includes the features that made the first volume on malignant bone tumors an outstanding publication. The initial five pages compile statistical information on the location, age distribution, and incidence of benign and malignant tumors and of other bone diseases. Benign tumors, cysts, other tumor-like lesions, and diseases of the skeleton that produce roentgenographic abnormalities suggestive of neoplasms are discussed and depicted by photographs. A few rare lesions are presented.
Preceding the numerous fine illustrations in each section is a concise presentation of general information on incidence, age, sex, location, clinical features, roentgenographic, pathologic, and histologic appearance, differential diagnosis, and treatment. The information essential for diagnosis appears in as few as two to not more than five pages of text.
