To the Editor.—

The tables in our article "Leukocytosis in Acute Appendicitis" (229:1630, 1974), incorrectly labeled "standard error of the mean," should read "mean and ± one standard deviation." Furthermore, recalculation from the raw data substantiates that the P value for total white blood cell counts is less than .01 rather than .001.
