Beginning with this issue, JAMA will be publishing a LAW AND MEDICINE feature. LAW AND MEDICINE will consist of brief legal articles relating to the practice of medicine or areas of the law that are of interest to physicians. These articles will be prepared by lawyers in the American Medical Association Office of General Counsel and other medicolegal experts. The first, "Duty to Warn Third Parties," appears on page 431.
