To the Editor.—

A question regarding "Rheumatoid Arthritis and Floppy Head" syndrome appeared in the Jan 4 issue of JAMA.¹ Neither of your two consultants appeared to be familiar with the problem.

As the inquirer describes the case, it was not "floppy head" syndrome but, rather, overactivity of neck flexors. In 1978, we described this² in four women as "flexicollis."
