The mechanism of MH that was proposed in the MEDICAL NEWS & PERSPECTIVES article is the one commonly cited in the literature^1,2 and in anesthesiology textbooks.^3,4 It is the product of the research of several investigators who have worked with colonies of pigs in which the MH syndrome includes muscle rigidity.
